Mr. Platt holds a B.A. in Art History and Painting from Vassar College and studied painting at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He earned a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. During graduate school, he worked with Richard Plunz, Professor of Architecture, Columbia University to research existing housing typologies and design vernacular infill housing for Keene Valley, New York.
Mr. Platt's professional experience includes residential, institutional, and commercial office buildings at Platt Byard Dovell Architects. Mr. Platt started his practice in 1996 and in 1998 co-founded Fink & Platt Architects.
Mr. Platt has volunteered with Architecture in the Schools and he is a member of Adirondack Architectural Heritage. A licensed architect in the State of New York, Mr. Platt is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Ms. Fink holds a Bachelor of Art in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Ms. Fink was awarded a Kinne travel fellowship to Algeria and Morocco to study the relationship between desert architecture and the modern housing projects of the late fifties and early sixties.
Ms. Fink’s professional experience includes James Carpenter Design Associates where she focused on integrating glass technologies and art through the exploration of glass as a structural material. She began her practice in 1992, won a Young Architects Award from the Architectural League of NY in 1996, and in 1998 co-founded Fink & Platt Architects.
Ms. Fink was the Sanders Fellow, Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan College of Architecture + Urban Planning and is an adjunct associate professor at the New York Institute of Technology. She is a licensed architect in the State of New York, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED accredited professional.
